grace dunham makes NYFW runway debut
10s across the board
Stepping out of the shadows of your older, way-successful sibling is no easy feat, but Grace Dunham has surely stepped—or, rather, strutted—to the challenge.
The poet/activist/actress/younger sibling of Girls juggernaut Lena Dunham walked today for the very first time in Ekhaus Latta’s spring ‘16 show at New York Fashion Week. The brand, designed by RISD alums Mike Ekhaus and Zoe Latta, has been hailed for its forward-thinking support of “pansexuality,” perfectly aligning with Dunham’s personal philosophies. The walk, too, was quite characteristic, as Dunham comfortably strode braless down the runway. “I was trying to think about what Mike said, he was like, ‘[There's a] chain from the top of your head to the ceiling...shoulders back, walk like you're listening to music, and no one can fuck with your zone,’” Dunham told ELLE. “I was just trying to heed his advice. And I was like, ‘I walk like a boy, but my huge tits are out,’ so I was just thinking about that dissidence.” Sounds to us like the start of a successful modeling career.
