Hailee Steinfeld Tapped For Activewear Campaign Aimed At Millennials

She’s the new brand ambassador for Mission

Hailee Steinfeld is getting into the athleisure trend by becoming the new brand ambassador for Mission. The singer-slash-actress will help promote the VaporActive apparel line, which is being specifically marketed toward millennials.

Mission’s founder and CEO, Josh Shaw, spoke to WWD about selecting Steinfeld, stating:

We probably spent a year and a half researching who would be the best person to partner with. We looked to hardcore athletes in individual sports, team sports, singers and actresses. Hailee’s approach to life and how she has succeeded at such an early age connects with our DNA as a brand and a company.

The 20-year-old joins other athlete-celebrity ambassadors for the brand, which include Dwyane Wade, Serena Williams, and Reggie Bush. Steinfeld spoke about her own excitement surrounding the partnership, saying that she was drawn to the dry-to-cool technology behind the pieces. “I’ve grown up in an innovation generation where speed, style and science work together seamlessly, and Mission embodies the same philosophy,” she told WWD.

Want to see the pieces in action? Steinfeld wore two pieces from the VaporActive line in her new music video “Most Girls,” where she can be seen channeling her inner boxer (and her inner bookworm, superstar, and artist).
