HAVE TIME
these watches look adult, but cost allowance money.
Growing up is fun - sometimes. You can go to bed whenever you want, drink without sneaking around, and prove to your parents that yes, you can make a living out of your English / music / art / cupcake-making degree. (Circle one.)
But then there are the accessories. All of a sudden, you need "grown up shoes" when you go out, a "grown up bag" that's gorgeous but costs way more than your old American Apparel tote, and of course, a "grown up watch" - read: not glow-in-the-dark.
You're probably already shopping for this "adult" stuff at Net-a-Porter, so step away from the Celine bags and the Prada boots for one quick second and click "accessories." You'll find a slew of Nixon watches that are chic enough to go with a new DKNY blouse, but their starting price is $60. That means you can complete your oh-so-responsible look, and still have money for the fun stuff, like booze.
(You can also just cave and buy the hot pink watch, and slide it under your black McQ blazer. It won't make you look any less capable of switching on the world, we promise.)
