Throughout the 15 seasons that American Idol has been on the air, there have been many moments that have made us want to cry. Usually, it's because an audition is so terrible that we can't believe what our eyes are watching. Last night, Jennifer Lopez cried on camera, but for a different reason.

The singer was so moved by La'Porsha Renae's passionate performance of "No More Drama," by Mary J. Blige, that she stood up in applause before shedding a stream of tears. The song is about an abusive relationship, which is something that Renae is personally familiar with so she, too, immediately broke down into tears after ending the song. Once J.Lo composed herself, she commended Renae for being an inspiration to watch.

“It takes a lot to overcome, it takes a lot of strength to overcome those things in your life," said Lopez. "I know, everybody knows, we’ve all been through stuff like that.”

Reality television has a reputation of manipulating certain scenarios, but what happened here could not be staged—it was 100 percent real. Don't believe us? Watch the emotional moment captured in the clip, below. Don't say we didn't warn you.
