Just a few weeks ago, Leslie Jones found herself in an infuriating situation: She was gearing up for her biggest blockbuster release ever with Ghostbusters, and she couldn’t find a designer willing to dress her. That is, until Christian Siriano happily volunteered himself for the job in a simple two-emoji tweet.
From there, it was a match made in heaven.
Jones stepped out at the premiere last night (the same evening as Siriano's nupitals, in fact) wearing a stunning off-the-shoulder dress that gave serious screen siren vibes. "I want to thank my baby @csiriano for making me this fabulous gown and for my wonderful stylist @bmcstylez for putting this look all together," she wrote on Instagram. With a thigh-high slit and elegant sweetheart neckline, both the dress and the comedienne wearing it were jaw-droppingly gorgeous.
“I love Leslie and can’t wait to make her something fabulous to wear. I dress and support women of all ages and sizes,” Siriano told TIME after volunteering to dress Jones for her big night.
Time and time again, the Project Runway alum has said that everyone deserves the chance to rock a killer gown. In the much-needed quest to improve diversity in both the film and fashion industries, Leslie Jones and Christian Siriano are proving that all body types are beautiful—and a red gown is never a bad choice.
