Lorde Team Music Video

A new Lorde music video is actually the best thing that could happen at 5:30 on a Tuesday evening. Whether you just got home from work or out of class, you're going to want to sit down and take this one in.

Set in a secluded abandoned warhouse, the video features what I can best describe as motocross jousting with Lorde reigning supreme over a court of sweaty, white tank top-wearing teenage boys. So, yeah, it's a little weird, but very addicting. 

On Facebook Lorde described the video as "borne from a dream i had a few months ago about teenagers in their own world, a world with hierarchies and initiations, where the boy who was second in command had acne on his face, and so did the girl who was queen. i dreamt about this world being so different to anything anyone had ever seen, a dark world full of tropical plants and ruins and sweat. and of this world, i dreamt about tests that didn't need to be passed in order to be allowed in: sometimes the person who loses is stronger."
