Fashion

this is what happens behind the scenes of nyfw

pretty, pretty pictures

by Hayden Manders

Though the action of Fashion Month has traversed the Atlantic and landed in London, the comedown of NYFW is still very real. It was a season for diversity and inclusivity, and no other location was more open to pushing the sartorial boundaries than MADE at Milk. The Chelsea location played host to a bevy of incredible shows that asked us to rethink what we define as fashion. Some shows focused on the body, others on the environment, but they all came together to put on one of the most refreshing lineups NYFW has encountered yet. Here, photographer Andrew Boyle takes us behind the scenes of MADE Fashion Week to highlight the characters that both walked the runway and sat front row. If ever someone asks you what New York fashion really is, direct them here. This is New York: glamorously punk.
