The Scary, Hilarious New Trailer For ‘Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies’

swords and petticoats—so in!

Already, you’ve had a chance to see the first trailer for the upcoming film based on Seth Grahame-Smith’s 2009 horror-parody classic, Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies (which itself is based on the works of Jane Austin and George Romero). Now, here’s a second look into the world director Burr Steers has created and, people, we’re down with it.

As we’ve said before, the mix of period costume and sword-wielding, zombie-slaying women just hits something deep inside our souls. PP&Z just gets us and, now that we’ve seen more shots of Game of Thrones star Lena Heady wearing an eye patch and Downton Abbey’s Lady Rose MacClare (Lily James) flashing a katana, we’re even more into this. Oh, and if you we’re hoping for tongue-in-cheek discussions of 18th-Century sexual power dynamics with a fantasy bent, you’ve got ‘em.

Click play above and just try to be patient until Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies hits theaters in February of next year.
