santal 26 candle by le labo

The best smelling candle known to man…

by Josh Madden

In the '90s dudes everywhere had Drakkar Noir and Tommy Hilfiger cologne and then in the '00s it was Jean Paul Gaultier and Dior Homme, for the '10s the smell in the streets of New York has been the artisanal scent Santal 33 made right in NoLita at the LeLabo perfume house. The French company, founded in 2006, has grown its product line to include laundry detergent, lotion, shower gel, and candles. The Santal 26 candle is far and away our favorite scent as it is identical to the cologne of the same name. Comprised of cardamom, iris, violet, and ambrox, smelling of wood alloy (Australian sandalwood, papyrus, cedar wood) and some spicy, leathery, musky notes. This bad boy burns for over 65 hours and sits in a thick one-pound glass. Find out where to can get LeLabo near you HERE or just take our word for it and order some HERE. Trust us, you won't go back to whatever it is that you've been messing with.
