Show + Tell: Watch What Gets Icona Pop Pumped Up

Two wild hearts

Remember how much fun Show + Tell was back in kindergarten? You'd get to bring in something cool from your home life, share it with all your friends at school, and tell them all about it. Worlds collided! It was the best. It's how we made all our BFFs. Well, get ready for NYLON's Show + Tell update, in which we ask our favorite artists to show us something from their lives and tell us all about it, leaving us all feeling like we're friends for life. Or something like that.

Each of us has a thing that helps get us ready to take on a challenge. Some of us have rituals, others put their faith in talismans. For Swedish pop duo Icona Pop, they turn to true sister of the moon, Stevie Nicks. Aino Jawo and Caroline Hjelt shared with us their pre-show ritual of watching a backstage video of Nicks singing an early version of her 1983 song "Wild Heart." If you're going to get your life force from any one person, Nicks' witchiness is definitely something to emulate.

Elsewhere, the electropop group is gearing up to release new material, with "Brightside" being our first taste. "It was time to write something about our friendship," they tell us. Wild hearts, this one is for you.
