SOME GIRLS

kawaii overload hits the luxury makeup scene.

Murakami already had his fling with Louis Vuitton, but when it comes to Manga artists and makeup, we still haven't seen a totally luxe marriage. Sure, Tokidoki did some incredible things for Sephora and Smashbox Cosmetics, but it's not quite the same so-expensive-it-hurts vibe as, say, Shu Uemura.

The Japanese cosmetics house just launched a new collection with Aya Takano, the Anime artist who's also teamed with Issey Miyake in the past.  Her holiday range of palettes, lip glosses, and face wash packs a double whammy:  They feature her Lolita illustrations on the front, and colors she uses in her art inside the compacts.

The entire collection has a "girl frolicking with deer" theme, but despite the fact that it's a bit early for Rudolph and his reindeer games, you can buy the whole collection online right now.
