Filled with mellow vocals and swirling synths, Crater’s “Summer Skin” is an anthem for the “millennial couch potato,” according to the Seattle-based electro-pop duo. “The apathy and general malaise we witness on the reg from kids our age and even experience ourselves can be so maddening that we decided to write a song about it,” says Ceci Gomez and Kessiah Gordon. “Summer Skin” is just a hint of Crater’s talent for crafting intricate and often thrillingly produced tracks, more of which you’ll hear when their debut full-length, Talk To Me So I Can Fall Asleep, comes out on February 26. You can pre-order it here and stream “Summer Skin” below, over and over again.
