surf city “it’s a common life”

New Zealand's Surf City released the first single "It's a Common Life" from their forthcoming album We Knew It Was Not Going to Be Like This this week and it's basically the sonic version of the last day of school. The trio recorded the follow-up to their 2010 release Kudos in different parts of the world, literally traveling to South Korea and also laying down some tracks here in NYC. The band started as Kill Surf City in 2004 but later shortened their name, though we don't really care what they call themselves as they can shred by any name. We're super stoked on these dudes and anticipate the release of their new record in August; until then we'll be jamming to this.
