You’ll Never Guess Who Cameos In SZA’s “Drew Barrymore” Video

Blink and you’ll miss her

One of the great music stories of 2017 has been the rise of SZA. After several solid singles and a standout guest appearance on Rihanna’s Anti, her long-awaited debut album, Ctrl, finally dropped on June 9. Not only was it loved by pretty much everyone, but the album debuted at number three on the Billboard 200, a huge ranking for a relatively new artist.

Now the record’s exquisite lead single, “Drew Barrymore,” has an exquisite video to go along with it. The clip features SZA and her friends hanging out, singing and dancing in New York City landscapes, made to look dreamlike by Dave Myers. He’s the same director who provided the eye-popping visuals for Kendrick Lamar’s “Humble” video and, again, does fine work here. In a video filled with sublime visuals, the real showstopper comes at around the 2:15 mark, when a certain someone makes a cameo. You’ll never guess who.
