Teen Choice Awards Attendees Made A Case For Yellow On The Red Carpet

The awards took place last night

Last night in L.A., the best in music, film, television, sports, and more were celebrated at the Teen Choice Awards. From the young up-and-comers to veterans of the industry, the red carpet (well, technically blue carpet) was filled with celebs from all walks of life. With that said, our eyes were on the fashion.

From gowns and pantsuits to more laid-back looks (all hail Zendaya’s casual pajama-menswear getup), we saw quite a mix of looks at last night’s ceremony. However, one trend stood out in particular: yellow. A color reserved for the brave or, well, Solange, many celebs, from Stranger Things' Millie Bobby Brown to Pretty Little Liars' Lucy Hale, rocked a variation of the vibrant shade. Some even took it as far as their hair color.

See our favorite not-so-mellow-yellow looks from the evening, below.

Millie Bobby Brown won this year’s red carpet with her electrifying Kenzo getup. And let’s be real, not too many people can pull off shades on the red carpet (especially teeny-tiny ones like this pair from Chrome Hearts), so it’s pretty clear that Brown has officially reached cool kid status.

Singer Bea Miller went for a simpler look, wearing a yellow cutout dress by Muehleder and letting her accessories (and nails!) make the statement.

Singer Ryan Destiny rocked this chic yellow blazer dress by Damir Doma.

Lucy Hale gave life to this intricate two-toned mini dress by Fausto Puglisi, proving that golden yellow and hot pink can be paired.

Okay, so maybe Rita Ora isn’t technically wearing yellow (though we’re totally fans of her plunging hot pink Alexandre Vauthier dress), she debuted new yellow bangs last night, and we’re totally here for it.
