mix it up!

As hard as it is for me to accept that summer is over, this image reminds me that cooler weather means I can indulge in a few of my favorite things. Staying in, watching bad tv, rocking PJs and bedhead with red lipstick? Yes please!

The Look: Cher in the 70's

She pretty much always kills it style wise, but the 70's is my favorite Cher era. She's obviously a pro when it comes to mixing prints AND she's rocking boots, bangs, and eyeliner like it's no big deal. Definitely channeling this vibe for fall.

The Face: CoverGirl Queen Collection Lipcolor Lipstick in Fine Wine

I'm usually a chapstick girl (it's a actually an addiction) BUT this is my go-to lipstick when I want more of a "look". I think most lipstick looks weird on me, and this one is pretty dark, but it's super flattering and stays on really well. I get compliments every time I wear it.

The News: THE TIMES 100

The New York Times released their list of the 100 most exciting upcoming cultural events of the season.  Check it out. Now you know what to talk about at parties. (Also it's pretty awesome!)

The Song: Galactic, Hustle Up

As you can tell from the title, this is a great "get pumped up" song. It gets me energized whether I'm heading out to a dance party or doing the dishes. And you have to watch the video directed by Ron Winter. It's THE BEST.
