The Weeknd Shares Gory New Video For “False Alarm”

Warning: Graphic images ahead

The Weeknd teased the parental advisory nature of his video for “False Alarm” yesterday on Twitter. And now we’re seeing just how serious he was about that forewarning. Just in case the message doesn’t register for some, the squeamish need not press play.

The singer teamed up with Russian director Ilya Naishuller to bring us a bank robbery, high-speed chase, and an unexpected plot twist all in a five-minute span. The aforementioned bank robbery appears to be going as well as bank robberies can go until the cops show up. Then, hell erupts.

There’s a drone. A guy gets shot in the head. Skull masks are involved. Grenades are thrown. Model Kristine Froseth is taken hostage. Shit gets real. Do the thieves escape or does good prevail? We’re not one for spoilers, so you’ll have to watch the video to find out for yourself. One note: you're going to want to watch until the end.
