The xx Performing “Loud Places” Will Give You Goosebumps

As we so recently told you, we’re 100-percent behind Jamie xx’s just-released new solo album In Color and its summer festival-ready second single, “Loud Places”. In just a couple of days since it hit iTunes, it’s becoming a repeated go-to.

Well, as just a little bit of frosting to that cake, we’ve got this video showing Jamie performing “Loud Places” on the French TV show Le Grand Journal not only with former xx fellow Romy Madley-Croft, but Oliver Sim as well (naturally Baria Qureshi is still out of the picture). Joining the mini reunion is Warpaint’s Stella Mozgawa on drums the xx preand a full choir offering vocal support. 

We doubt we’ll be seeing the xx as a touring group again anytime soon—or perhaps ever—but this a hot taste of magic to enjoy no matter what happens down the road. (Stereogum)
