We all know there’s power in a dramatic hair change. Whether it’s after a breakup or entering the new year, we often to time our hair colors with new seasons of life. For celebrities, this is even more calculated, timing their hair color changes with new music or movie launches, knowing they have the power to break the internet with one singular Instagram reveal.
There are few things more satisfying than seeing our favorite stars switch up the looks we’ve known them for to try something new. Since many of them have been seemingly in the mood for drastic change this year, here are the biggest and boldest celebrity hair transformations of 2021.
In March of this year, Billie broke the internet by going platinum blonde and getting a shag haircut. She later cut her hair into a bob in a tribute to her Mom in August.
Doja then went from platinum blonde to playful orange-red for her Jingle Ball performance. The hairstylist behind the look was celebrity hairdresser Jared “JStayReady” Henderson, who’s joining Doja Cat on her mini-tour.
Now Doja is back to the platinum blonde. But with Jingle Ball shows in Boston, Washington, and Atlanta coming up later this month and live performances in Philadelphia Charlotte, and Atlanta for her Hot Pink Tour early next year, there’s no doubt that it won’t stay this way for long.
