Chanel's New Pop-Up Is Basically A Snow Globe Come To Life

Inspired by the latest fragrance campaign starring Lily-Rose Depp

From extravagant show productions in Paris to campaigns full of fantasy, Chanel has mastered the art of creating its own magical worlds. Now, to celebrate the holidays, the luxury fashion house is sharing that magic with the masses: Chanel N°5 in the Snow pop-up has just arrived at The Standard Highline in New York City in honor of the iconic scent. What's even better, it is free and open to the public.

Inspired by the latest N°5 L'Eau fragrance holiday campaign — starring Chanel ambassador, muse of the late Karl Lagerfeld, and face of the fragrance, Lily-Rose Depp — the outdoor space, set in front of the hotel's entrance, resembles the inside of an extremely chic snow globe, with ice skates draped over Chanel-branded sleds, hundreds of sparkling lights, and double C ornaments hanging from tall trees.

Open from Thursday, Dec. 12 through Sunday, Dec. 15, the pop-up features a custom ice skating rink complete with complimentary skate rentals, hot chocolate and cider, festive treats, and plenty of Instagram-worthy photo opportunities. Visitors can even write holiday-themed Chanel postcards for loved ones on-site, postage and mailing all courtesy of the brand. If you're not in New York, a special, snow globe-themed augmented reality experience will be available, starting Dec. 11, via Chanel's website and Snapchat.

Ahead of its official opening, Chanel kicked off the pop-up with a private event on Dec. 10, where everyone from Kacey Musgraves to Jemima Kirke showed off their best winter 'fits. Check out the best looks here, and see photos from inside Chanel N°5 in the Snow, below.
