Behind Serena Williams’ Diamond-Studded 2022 U.S. Open Outfit

On Monday, Aug. 29, Serena Williams played in the first round of the 2022 U.S. Open in New York City and likely the final tennis tournament of her career. For the 2022 U.S. Open tournament in New York City, Serena Williams customized her Nike uniform to include a crystal-studded bodice and six-layer skirt in reference to her six winning titles in Flushing. (Though, she later revealed after the match that she removed four layers of fabric because it was too heavy.) Courtesy of Nike

She completed her look with custom Serena PE NikeCourt Flare 2 sneakers. Her personalized pair are encrusted with a diamond Swoosh design and her initials in the middle.
