Raised in Paris and based in New York, Kyra Alessandrini is a French/American journalist. Her work can be read in publications such as Essence, Time, The Hollywood Reporter, Insider, InStyle, Byrdie, Elle and Wondermind.

From interviewing celebrities for cover stories to reporting daily news, she explores all aspects of journalism through her work. Being an independent journalist has led her to gain experience across a wide variety of beats — including fashion, culture, health, politics and more.

Before becoming a full-time journalist, she was a graduate student at Columbia Journalism School and a humanities student at both La Sorbonne (France) and UCL (UK). During her down time, she enjoys street photography, traveling and daily life in Brooklyn, NY.
