Everything Coming To Netflix In March
Including two original queer movies and a Lil Peep documentary
A new month is almost here, which means it's time to start salivating over everything we can look forward to hitting Netflix in March. The streaming service has certainly not disappointed, offering over 100 new titles, including original TV shows and movies as well as past ones from studios all around the world.
On the original films side, Netflix has stacked up tons of new titles — including Guilty, an Indian thriller about a group of hard-partying teens navigating a sexual assault scandal after experiencing "the darkest night of our lives"; I Am Jonas, a queer French film that follows Jonas (the wildly talented Félix Maritaud of BPM, Knife+Heart, and Sauvage/Wild) as he recalls his teenage love affair with an "impulsive, twisted, and yet irresistible" man named Nathan; Crip Camp, an endearing documentary about a Woodstock-like camp for teenagers with disabilities that received rave reviews after its Sundance premiere; and Feel Good, a romantic comedy starring comedian Mae Martin as a recovering addict trying to balance her complicated past with the great love of her present.
If you'd rather binge some good TV shows, the streamer will premiere the highly anticipated third seasons of beloved comedy On My Block, steamy Spanish thriller Elite, and the Emmy Award-winning Ozark; the second season of David Chang's food series Ugly Delicious; a Brazilian edition of the cult hit social media reality competition The Circle; Bloodride, a new Norwegian horror anthology series; and Unorthodox, a limited series about a Jewish woman who flees Brooklyn for Berlin after being placed in an arranged marriage. I've already seen Self-Made: Inspired by the Life of Madam C.J. Walker, the Octavia Spencer-starring miniseries about the African-American beauty mogul, and I can confirm that it's a worthy testament to Walker's sheer brilliance grounded by an Emmy-worthy performance from Spencer. This month, Netflix is also blessing us with a few new comedy specials for good measure, including ones from GLOW's Marc Maron, and Taylor Tomlinson.
Other (non-original) notable titles include the heartbreaking documentary Lil Peep: Everybody's Everything, Martin Scorsese's seminal hit Goodfellas, the original film adaptation of Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events (which could serve as a nice compliment to the Netflix series that ended its run last year), and the Michael Jordan-starring Space Jam. For great performances, look no further than Paul Thomas Anderson's oil prospector drama There Will Be Blood (which secured Daniel Day-Lewis his second of three Oscars) and David O. Russell's mental health dramedy Silver Linings Playbook (most known for securing Jennifer Lawrence her first and only Oscar).
