Amazon's New Skin-Care Line Is Affordable *And* Prime-Eligible
For when you need a mask, pronto
Amazon just stepped into the world of skin care, and now offers its own 12-item collection that you can peruse alongside other beauty brands that it previously offered. Today, it introduced Belei, a range of masks and moisturizers in teal-hued packaging, with each product ringing in at under $40 and available via Prime's two-day shipping.
According to a press release, the collection aims to address "common skin-care concerns like acne, the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, dark spots, dehydration, dullness, and more." It additionally states that "all Belei products are free of parabens, phthalates, sulfates, and fragrance and are not tested on animals" and that the "product bottles are made of post-consumer recycled resin and carton packaging is 100 percent recyclable." Amazon does not specify whether or not the line qualifies as vegan.
"Our goal is to help customers spend less time and money searching for the right skin-care solutions," Amazon's head of beauty for private brands Kara Trousdale shared in a statement. "We took a simple, no-nonsense approach when creating Belei, developing products with ingredients that are both proven to deliver results and also offer customers great value for the quality."
If you're looking to see if Amazon really knows beauty, the time is now. Belei products are currently 25 percent off, so it's the perfect opportunity to try something new (or stock up on the makeup wipes you've been meaning to grab at your local drugstore).
