Ane is ready to dig past all the surface-level BS of online dating and get real. The Korean-American singer-songwriter sings about exactly that on her new single, "Physical," premiering today exclusively on NYLON.
"The combination of living in New York and being immersed in today's culture of swiping right and left on dating apps and scrolling through social media feeds, it is so difficult to make a real connection with someone," Ane tells us. "People like having options today, more than ever, and it makes it really difficult to dig deep with someone... I wanted to share that feeling in a song."
To set the vibe, Ane kicks it old-school with a smooth R&B sound, really tapping into the feelings of cutting through the digital space and finding something tangible.
