After Hours, Brigette Lundy-Paine Writes Her Own Musicals While She’s Cleaning

The radio is for losers

by Bailey Calfee

In After Hours, your favorite celebrities give us a look at all the quirky, strange things they do during their alone time. If there are two things NYLON really loves, it's getting weird and taking time for yourself.

Brigette Lundy-Paine isn’t just an actress—she’s a secret musical theatre fan, too. Lundy-Paine tells us that, when she’s cleaning, she likes to make up her own musicals, and sing them to herself. She says, “I start with a genre, and it just kind of comes naturally, whatever the feeling is that day.”

She gave us a taste of what it’s like when she’s cleaning—and singing—at home by herself. Check out the next Lin-Manuel Miranda, in the video above, and then head over to Netflix to see her as Casey in Season 2 of Atypical.
