sometimes it’s ok to judge a beauty product by its cover.

Anyone who knows me will tell you that I’m a bit of a beauty product newbie. My regular routine consists of swearing by my five favorite drug stoe buys, and picking out new products to try based solely on how pretty they look from the outside. As it turns out, that might not be such a bad technique. Out this month are two new ranges from L’Occitane and Davines that, while still being the same quality product you’ve come to expect on the inside, are just are super-pretty on the outside, too. L’Occitane’s limited edition Shea Butter collection is not only a savior for winter skin, but also covered in arty, watercolor-like packaging that will make putting your lipgloss or hand cream back in your purse seem like a tragedy. The same goes for Davines’ More Inside collection. The line of hair care products comes covered in floral wrapping paper with adorable how-to illustrations on the paper’s inside. It should come as no surprise that since receiving the L’Occitane and Davines products, they’ve been on display in the center of of web team office, like beautiful, functional statuettes. I know inner beauty is what really matters, but a little outer beauty isn’t so bad, too. Check out these beautiful products from L’Occitane, Davines, and more in the gallery. It’s ok, judge them by their cover. I won’t tell.
