Jared Leto Is Up To No Good In The Latest ‘Blade Runner 2049’ Trailer

Those eyes, man

The finale of 1982's Blade Runner left one burning question: Is Harrison Ford's Deckard a replicant, or nah? This year's hyped-up sequel, Blade Runner 2049, looks to hold that answer, one that Jared Leto may or may not know.

The latest trailer, a feast of sublime lighting and music, finds Leto's Neander Wallace on the brink of what Robin Wright's character warns is a war. Humanity is in shambles. Los Angeles is in shambles. Ryan Gosling's Officer K is not, but he's up to something, and that something is dramatic! And brooding! How dreamy.

But in all seriousness, our latest look at Blade Runner 2049 is stunning. We know Leto's Wallace is in with the replicant crowd and Ford's Deckard is still a wanted man. "We were being hunted," Deckard says to Officer K. "We" as in replicants, or "we" as in something else entirely, thrown into the trailer to start a conversation? There are only a couple of months before the truth will be revealed.

Blade Runner 2049 hits theaters October 6.
