British ‘Vogue’ Is Airing Their Documentary ‘Absolute Fashion: Inside British Vogue’ Next Week

Another behind-the-scenes look into the wild world of fashion magazines

by Jenna Igneri

Calling all fashion enthusiasts: Seven years after The September Issue release, a new behind-the-scenes fashion documentary is on its way, and this time, it has a British twist. Absolutely Fashion: Inside British Vogue is a new doc following the inner workings of Vogue U.K. over the course of nine months. Filmmaker Richard Macer follows editor-in-chief, Alexandra Schulman, as well as other fashion editors and contributors, documenting their day-to-day office life, major fashion editorial photo shoots, and more behind-the-scenes happenings.

The documentary will be split into two episodes, airing on U.K.’s BBC Two. The first episode picks up right after last September’s spring/summer 2017 fashion shows—fitting, considering it airs on the first day of NYFW, the official kick-off for fashion month. You can expect cameos from some of the industry’s top dogs, such as Edie Campbell, Mario Testino, and Kate Moss.

The first episode of Absolutely Fashion: Inside British Vogue premieres on Thursday, September 8. While it's airing on BBC Two, we’re sure it will be only a matter of time before we can stream it here in the States.
