I Waited For You Will Fulfill All Your Traveling Dreams

cult worthy: i waited for you

by Marissa Smith

I Waited For You is a brand that's going to hit a part of your wardrobe that you didn't even know you wanted. Founded in 2011 by Charleston Pacius and Melanese Reid, the brand marries concepts that inspire both designers. Their love of art, science, and innovation have coalesced into an aesthetic that we can't get enough of. Their Spring 2016 collection, entitled "Woman of Tai Chi," really speaks to our lust for travel. When you jet around the world, you collect things from the destinations you visit. Naturally, most of us fashion-loving girls collect clothing, those kinds of pieces that you know you wouldn't be able to get online or at home. This collection by I Waited For You showcases Asian-inspired shapes and fabrics that you might only be able to find in Asia—but instead, it's here at our fingertips. Inspired by the movie Man of Tai Chi, Pacius and Reid emulated the color evolution of the main character's wardrobe, creating shapes and fabrics that have an architectural silhouette but still feature the movement and abstract shapes that we love. Take a look at our favorite pieces in the gallery.
