Desigual Sent Snapchat Filters Down The Runway

Fashion and social media collide

by Taylor Bryant

Let's be real, we've all vocalized our desire to have a Snapchat filter permanently fixed on our face at one point or another. Though at times problematic, there’s no denying they add a little extra something to one's selfie (sometimes that something is flawless skin, which we're never going to pass up). Not to mention, they’re beyond addicting. Fashion brand Desigual turned this dream into a sort-of reality Thursday when they sent models down the runway in makeup inspired by the app.

All of the favorites were in the mix, with the dog nose, tiger stripes, deer freckles, and bee designs painted on a select number of models' faces. The always popular flower crown and golden butterfly filters even made an appearance, complementing the patterned clothing and fringe sandals from the collection.

According to M.A.C, the head adornments were created using paper cutouts, while makeup artists used M.A.C Cosmetics to create the filters. This isn’t exactly a look we’re going to be sporting in everyday life, but who says it wouldn’t make for an easy, last-minute Halloween idea? Keep it in your back pocket, y’all. It will be here before you know it.
