Watch Ed Sheeran Cover Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen”

with a little help from the roots

by Ben Barna

Ed Sheeran should quit his day job and start a cover band. And if he could recruit The Roots, that would be cool, too. Jimmy Fallon lent the English singer his Tonight Show band, and together, they collaborated on a ridiculously good cover of Fetty Wap's breakout jam, "Trap Queen."

Fetty Wap's version is one of the hottest hip-hop tracks of the year and helped put the Paterson, New Jersey rapper on the map. It's a romantic, sing-songy ode to cooking crack-cocaine with your boo in the hopes of one day buying matching lamborghinis. Filtered through Sheeran's soulful delivery, the song becomes, well, a romantic, sing-songy ode to cooking crack-cocaine with your boo in the hopes of one day buying matching lamborghinis. Check it out above, it's really great.
