There's no better way to say "I love you" to the Earth than to get in the habit of composting your trash. I know what you're thinking, but you do have time to compost, and we'll show you how with Erika Spring from Au Revoir Simone.

Find out how we're composting our scraps in the slideshow--with easy tips and drop off locations in your city--and celebrate Earth Day right!

UNUSUAL SUSPECTS: The composting basics include food scraps, but did you also know you can compost carrot tops, lemons, egg shells, tea bags, and flowers? So you really don't have any excuse for putting your cold chai teas in the trash anymore.

STORE IT: If you don't have access to a yard to compost in, or don't have the time, don't worry. Take your compost and store it in a plastic bag in the freezer so it says fresh but doesn't stink up your house!

COMPOST IT: You can find a place to drop off your compostable garbage in your city with a quick Google search. In NYC, Green Markets are will take your scraps and turn them into fuel to grow their plants.
