Five Questions with CRSL founder Tal Cooperman
Hanging with Mr. Cooperman…
This month's issue of NYLON Guys is full of our homies old and new. If you happen to flip to page 50 you might recognize the covered, G-Shock wearing guy whose name happens to be Tal Cooperman. He's been a friend of the NYLON family for at least half-a-dozen years now and we were trying to figure out just how it came to be that we met him. Cooperman is definitely the guy that told us about both RVCA and KR3W just as the brands were starting. He also told us about Neff and ResQwater. He took us to dinner in Vegas and introduced us to Ryan Sheckler, Louie Vito, Carey Hart, and Rob Dyrdek. He put us on to Norm back in his San Fran days. If you follow him on Instagram you might notice his frequent posts from private planes or exotic locations. So who is this guy and just what does he do?
The truth is…Tal Cooperman is a kid from Agora Hills who got to know all of these people and brands because he met them back when few people cared, and helped them all in every different way he could. He was chosen by NYLON Guys and G-Shock this month because he's a walking example of how to put every waking moment to its best use. And before you start to question his interesting instgram feed you must first realize that someone put him on those planes or in those places because of the projects he's done and continues to do.
Most recently Cooperman has been working on his very own brand CRSL, which is launching in his second home town, Las Vegas, this week. From what we've seen of the brand so far, it looks to be the culmination of everything he's worked on up until this point. The shirts are bright and colorful with a custom cut and high end blends. Judging by the company this guy keeps we're sure this brand is going to be getting a lot of stage time (it's already showing up on TV screens). We recently caught up with the CRSL ringleader for a few minutes, just to hang out, catch up, and get our five questions in. Check out his answers below and read more about him on page 50 of this months NYLON Guys.
