Get A First Look At Forever 21’s Newest Artist Collaboration
It’s teaming up with Jeremyville and Maripol
Festivalwear, who? Forever 21 is gearing up to drop its new summer collection, and this one is a total throwback.
The retailer teamed up with two legendary artists, Maripol and Jeremyville, to envision an ‘80s-street style dream for its special-edition Artist Collection. Jeremyville is a NYC-based illustrator known for his graffiti-like characters and landscape drawings, while Maripol is an artist, filmmaker, and stylist known for her iconic Polaroids that captured the ‘80s downtown scene, with her most famous work being portraits of her friends—which (nonchalantly) included Madonna, Debbie Harry, and Andy Warhol. Both lent their original designs for the new streetwear-inspired capsule, making the collection essentially wearable art.
In the new capsule, you’ll find separates for both men and women that you’ll be jumping to add to your summer wardrobe. While basic in styles—offering tees, slip dresses, onesies and more—the Polaroid and graffiti prints used throughout make for a total Studio 54 party. The most standout piece? A wildly holographic windbreaker that we thought, up until now, only existed in our dreams. The full offering ranges from $8.90 to $29.90, making it pretty easy to stock up on all of our favorites.
