If you're a fan of the sporty soap opera Make It Or Break It, you already know the Olympic Games are coming to London this summer. But besides gymnastics - which the fictional characters on MIOBI practice daily in hopes of winning gold - there are some other major competitions on the Olympic horizon, including diving, sailing, rowing, tennis, and archery (which may have a new audience of young women, thanks to Katniss Everdeen). To commemorate the major athletic event, Paul Smith has designed a series of British postage stamps honoring The Isle of Mann and Sir Smith's good friend, the British cycling champion Mark Cavendish. The stamps (finally!) go on sale this week for American shoppers, and cost $83 for a full set with a book about the design process, and Great Britain's Olympic history. If you'd rather just window shop, we've included images of each in our gallery below. They're vibrant inspiration for graphic design acolytes, and they also look really cool as iChat avatars...
