song premiere: james bay

meet your new favorite love song.

It doesn't take much persuasion to fall in love with James Bay. Not only is the U.K. singer and songwriter supremely talented, soulful, and, um, really nice to look at, this is a guy whose music goes far deeper than breezy beats and swoony choruses.

After proving himself with past singles like "Stealing Cars" and "Move Together" last year, the 23-year-old is trading his signature stripped-down ballads for something a little more upbeat. His latest track "If You Ever Want To Be In Love" is a heartfelt folk-rock gem, complete with piano-driven melodies and a sing-along chorus. It's the perfect intro to Bay's new Let It Go EP, which drops tomorrow--and is the extra kick you need to make it out to see him live. After all, the only thing better than hearing James Bay crooning through your headphones is actually seeing him perform it in front of you.

See his tour dates with Hozier here, and in the meantime, go ahead and start memorizing the lyrics to his gorgeous new single below.
