Normally when a celebrity rides public transportation, we can't help but gasp—loudly—mostly because it makes us feel like we actually have something in common with them. However, when Katie Holmes showed up at New York's Penn Station last night, she was not exactly trying to blend in with the rest of us. The actress boarded an NJ Transit train wearing an elegant red ball gown and crimson stilettos. It's not exactly what we'd be wearing in that situation, but hey, maybe celebrities aren't just like us after all. Or maybe we should be taking note.
We can only hope that Suri follows in her mother's footsteps and graces us with her sophisticated presence on some mode of public transportation too. The G train in Prada, perhaps?
