Lindsay Lohan’s Favorite ‘Mean Girls’ Line Might Surprise You

Mean Girls is almost 14 years old. Yet put the movie on for a group of millennials and they’d probably be able to recite the entire film line for line. There are only a handful of projects that manage to permeate the cultural Zeitgeist, and a plot line about the Plastics is at the tippy top.

After recovering from a burn set off by Kim Kardashian, Lindsay Lohan joined W magazine to go over some of her favorite lines from the movie. There are the usual suspects like, “Don’t have sex, because you will get pregnant and die,” and “Gretchen, stop trying to make fetch happen. It’s not going to happen!” When she gets to the line delivered by a salesperson in the movie, “Sorry, we only carry sizes 1, 3, and 5. You could try Sears,” the actress tries to come up with something that’s “funnier than Sears.” Maybe Kohl’s or Kmart or J.C. Penney? But, as someone off-camera points out, Sears is the line from the film, so it’s in there for a reason. If Tina Fey doesn’t think anything is funnier than Sears, then nothing else is funnier than Sears.

These are all delivered through a stream of chuckles and realizations from Lohan that some of the lines are actually pretty mean. When the countdown arrives at her number one, it’s a word said by her character, Cady Heron: an amalgamation of great and cool. “Grool,” she says, wide-eyed to the camera.

We wouldn’t be Mean Girls stans if we didn’t point out notable ones she missed like, “That’s why her hair is so big, it’s full of secrets,” “Four for you Glen Coco, you GO Glen Coco.
