Video Premiere: Margaret Cho’s Ron’s Got a DUI

Most people know Margaret Cho as an outspoekn and hilarious standup comedian, but the actress, author, designer, and gay icon has also built a successful career as a singer and songwriter. In 2010, the San Francisco native released her debut album, Cho Dependent, and only now after five years is she following it up with American Myth, which will be out next year.

Cho, who is openly bisexual and a prominent LGBTQ advocate, wrote the song "Ron's Got a DUI" as a "tribute to the many gay men I have loved and lost, and the perfect relationship between an old gay man and a little girl as I've experienced." The video, which we're premiering here, depicts just that kind of relationship, a quirky, loving, and wonderfully eccentric bond between a girl and her unusual yet unforgettable friend.
