Matthew Connor Gets Eerie in “Midnight Blue” (First Look)

Unless you’re Jason Voorhees, or one of Stephen King’s kids, being born on Friday the 13th is not a cause for celebration.

moreMatthew Connor, the Birmingham, Alabama, native and pop-noir crooner, however, would disagree. Conner sanctifies his superstitious birthdate by blending a mellow-harmonic baritone with ominous instrumentation. He’s developed a sound that is outright spooky, in that Michael Jackson “Thriller” sort of way.

The ghostly vibes continue into his videos, as he follows up the beautifully shot (a bit eerie, still) “How is July Already Over?” with his latest, “Midnight Blue.”
