Watch The First Trailer For ‘White Girl’

Being a teenager is scary

The highs and lows of drug addiction are the focal points of the first official trailer for White Girl, the Sundance hit about a young college girl who unwittingly gets mixed up in New York City's low-level drug trade.

The film stars Morgan Saylor—best known for playing Dana Brody on Homeland—as Leah, an ennui-ridden student who falls for a drug dealer named Blue (Brian Marc) and gets very into cocaine as a result. But when Blue gets arrested, Leah is forced to make a decision about what to do with his stash. Based on the kinetic first trailer, things spiral out of control pretty quickly.

White Girl is the directorial debut of Elizabeth Wood, who also wrote the film based on a true story. Justin Bartha (The Hangover), Chris Noth (Sex and the City), Adrian Martinez (Focus), and Annabelle-Dexter Jones (Holy Motors) also star.

White Girl has been called “the most explosive portrait of NYC youth since Kids," thanks to its hyper-real, unflinching portrait of teenage recklessness. Sure, being young can be super fun, but as you'll no doubt see when White Girl goes wide on September 9, it can be straight up terrifying, too. Watch the trailer above.
