While the rest of the fashion world is referencing '90s minimalism for spring '14, Naomi Spindel is looking at a kitschy version of the '50s and '60s to create metallic and posh pieces that have landed her on our Designer to Know list.
Spindel's latest collection included all the lingerie-inspired separates she's known for, like high waisted bloomers and cropped bustier tops, but also pushed into new territory, like a metallic pink evening dress with a deep V front and a furry coral cropped sweater that is sure sweeten any girl's wardrobe. All together the models formed a clique of gleaming gals with perfect bouffants and winged eyeliner, but when the collection is dissected piece by piece, you'll realize that there's a place in your closet for any one of Spindel's designs, regardless of your particular style mantra. It's no wonder she's able to create pieces for any type of woman--she earned her chops at Oscar de la Renta and J.Crew, two brands renown for making every type of woman happy with their flattering designs.
