Sam Taylor-Johnson, the director of Fifty Shades of Grey, sure has a type. In the first trailer for the upcoming Netflix series Gypsy, which Taylor-Johnson helms, we meet Jean Halloway (played by Naomi Watts), a therapist with a forbidden desire.
Sound familiar? Unlike Christian Grey, though, Halloway’s desire isn’t S&M-related. At least, from what we can tell. Instead, she has a penchant for becoming emotionally involved with the people in her patients' lives. Even going so far as to seeking them out and seducing. "I used to believe that people determined their own life," Watts says in the trailer. “Yet, there’s one force more powerful than free will, our desires.”
