Shirtless Nick Jonas Bids For Movie Stardom In ‘Careful What You Wish For’ Trailer

Nick Jonas will be making a major bid for movie stardom, when he stars in this summer's sexy thriller Careful What You Wish For. The film's first trailer spells this one out pretty clearly: A strapping young man (Jonas) spends his summer in an affluent community when he lets his hormones get the best of him and starts an illicit affair with a married woman (Isabel Lucas). Once that married woman's rich husband (Dermot Mulroney) finds out, things get really ugly, really fast for everyone involved. 

Jonas has already proved that he can command the screen with supporting roles in the shows Kingdom and Scream Queens. But becoming a leading man is an entirely different ball game, and is something his fellow pop star-turned-movie star, Justin Timberlake, couldn't quite master.

It can't be underestimated how hard it is to make the transition from music to movies, especially when an artist already has a well-established pop persona, as Jonas does. 

Jonas has already reinvented himself once and now he's asking audiences to embrace the third act of his career. We'll find out if they do, when Careful What You Wish For arrives in theaters, on iTunes and On Demand on June 10.
