It's hard to watch the latest trailer for Kill Your Friends and not think about American Psycho, and that's exactly what it's going for. Nicholas Hoult's Steven Stelfox is the Patrick Bateman of the record industry, screwing and chopping up anyone who stands in the way of him discovering the next big thing. The movie is based on the novel by John Niven, and has the feel of a '90s throwback, probably because its set in a time of A&R execs, platinum records, and those round, shiny things called CDs. Kill Your Friends does not have a North American release date yet, so if you want to see it you'll have to fly to the UK on November 6. It's probably worth the trip.
