Getting Ready With
Meg Donnelly Out-Sparkled Herself With Her ‘Zombies 4’ Premiere Look
Disco balls have nothing on this.
Meg Donnelly, to borrow a phrase from Sabrina Carpenter, is a busy woman. As if releasing and promoting a critically acclaimed EP isn’t enough (dying art is now streaming wherever you get your music), she’s also about to reappear in the fourth edition of Zombies series, Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires. Her bubbly off-screen persona is same-same-but-different to Addison, the zombie cheerleader she plays in the movies, but the spirit of sci-fi movie queens was clearly in the room as she channeled a bit of Padmé Amidala and Jessica Atreides in her icy blue hooded gown.
Indeed, ice was on the menu (as well as mid-Sprinter-ride vegetarian sushi) with trays of diamond-encrusted jewels and a smattering of sparkles all over her crystal dress. Her valiant glam team (including a surprise guest) got her primped and prepped for the red carpet, with Donnelly setting the mood with a playlist we wouldn’t expect to hear on the Bluetooth speaker in a hotel room, but that’s what makes her so charming. Below, she’s captured getting necklaces sewn onto her dress (anything for the look) and giving love taps to her beloved Gibby.
“Getting ready. My playlist this time was The Cookout on Spotify x.”
“Ice tray the gang and flood it, ice ice ice ice.”
“First time coming out in the dress, seeing what chat thought.”
“Boop.”
“Putting on shoes and sewing all the necklaces into the dress! It was a long process but it looked SO good. :’)”
“Emotional support Gibby. She’s my everything & always helps out with everything glam. True crowd fav. Love u Gibs.”
“Can’t have too many rings ;)”
“Dune? Star Wars? Nova and Victor in Z4?”
“Li’l full-body shot.”
“And pose.”
“Drama.”
“Shake it like a Polaroid picture, now all my Beyoncé’s and Lucy Liu’s, get on the floor.”
“Avocado rolls on the way to the premiere!!!!!!! It ended up flying off mid-drive but hey, I got some.”
