A ‘Single White Female’ Reboot Is Coming To TV
The 1992 cult classic comes to the small screen
The list of television series to stay on top of is growing. NBC has announced a remake of the 1992 cult classic Single White Female, which stars Jennifer Jason Leigh and Bridget Fonda.
The original Single White Female is a thriller that follows a woman named Allie who finds a new roommate in Hedra, and strange events begin occuring as Allie realizes how increasingly obsessive Hedra becomes. The original film is set in New York City, but the update is to be set in San Francisco, and it's being described as a "modern-day reboot." The reboot looks to change up the premise: "In this a con artist uses her professional connections to target a seemingly moneyed colleague in search of a roommate. She slowly begins to realize that her mark may not be quite as innocuous as she first seems."
While the movie has spawned a direct-to-video sequel in the past, this is the first time it's being remade specifically for a TV series. Though there is no word as to who will be playing the two main characters in the series, the plotline has us thinking it'll be the next big TV show that's on everyone's lips. Plus, we are still all aboard the '90s revival train!
