This year is quickly shaping up to be the year of the Spice Girls. The will they, won't they flames of a possible reunion are now being fueled, not by a single Instagram but by talk of a new movie. Sadly, it is not a Spice World 2, but it does build off a bit from the original camp classic.
Variety reports all five of the Spice Girls have signed off on their likenesses being used in an animated superhero film centered around girl power. According to the source, each member's character will reflect her respective personality. Sounds like a bigger budget version of the "Spice Force Five," the Spice World skit that saw the girls flex their secret agent muscles.
The movie is being shopped around right now. Whether we'll get a musical reunion outside of the group performing at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is up in the air. Who knows what next week holds! If this is the spice of life, so be it.
