step into the darkness with the coolest new beauty products!

WHY I LOVE IT: I mean seriously, who doesn’t want a collector’s edition anything? I don’t know about you guys, but owning a limited-edition, highly-coveted item just makes me want to drown myself in faux fur and prancercize (Youtube, now) around my room screaming, “I AM LUXURIOUS!” Lately, I’ve been feeling especially grandeur now that I’ve added the Very Irresistible Givenchy 10th Anniversary Collector’s Edition perfume bottle to my bounty. Although the iconic scent remains the same, the bottle has a new outfit: bedecked in 3-D emblematic roses with an ombre pink cascade.
FOR THOSE: Who want to feel expensive.
WHY I LOVE IT: Considering my dad is a heavy-metal rockstar, I guess I could technically be considered the “daughter of darkness”…right? But regardless of my dad’s career, you should all know by now how much I love a vampy lipstick--yet, it’s still a struggle to find the right one for me. My ideal formula? Not too red, not too purple, not too brown, not too creamy, and not too drying. And although there are, literally, an infinite amount of beauty offerings out there, I hadn’t found one I was absolutely head-over-heels in love with until now. Drumroll, please: Manic Panic’s Daughter of Darkness lipstick, the perfect gothy pout that packs an impressive burnt-amethyst hue, with intense staying power.
FOR THOSE: How many times can I reference American Horror Story: Coven before you all get sick of it?
WHY I LOVE IT: When I first read the shade of this eyeshadow was called “Metallic Merlot,” I immediately thought, “What a chic name for a wine!” I then counter-acted that thought with, “Can I pull off metallic burgundy eyeshadow?” Turns out: I think I can! The formula for these eyeshadows is brilliant because it’s cream-to-power, meaning you can turn the volume up as much as you want depending on how loud you want your shadow to be. And if a foiled merlot isn’t your cup of tea, they have 11 other offerings to choose from!
FOR THOSE: Who want to be just as glitzy as Honey Boo Boo.
WHY I LOVE IT: Two of my favorites girls, Janine and Aretha, founders of one of my favorite lacquer brands, Floss Gloss, really know how to pull on my heartstrings. They just launched a brand new polish called “Selena Corpus Crystalina”, a white holographic glitter paying tribute to the legendary songstress Selena. Known for her love of diamond-encrusted white gowns, glittered chandelier earrings, and iridescent eyeshadows, the color is the perfect homage to the goddess herself. Pro tip: Since it’s a sheer formula, apply over your favorite nail polish for extra glamour!
FOR THOSE: Who are going to go home, watch “Selena”, and sob for two hours.
WHY I LOVE IT: A few Vanity Cases ago I divulged my love for Tom Ford’s Oud Wood fragrance, so now, it should come as no surprise that since they’ve added a Body Moisturizer (!!!) of the scent, it obviously made it’s way to this week’s Vanity Case. Fused with the same blend of exotic rosewood, cardamom, our wood, sandalwood, vetiver, tonka bean, and amber as the fragrance, the body moisturizer is a creamy formula that hydrates and smoothes the skin. Did I mention it’s my favorite scent of all time so I can’t stop slathering myself in it?
FOR THOSE: Who understand my obsession with TF’s Oud Wood and are just as stoked as I am that there’s now a body lotion form of it, too.
WHY I LOVE IT: Recently, Make Up For Ever launched an impressive 76-piece collection of 100% fiber artisan brushes to their already extensive collection of beauty products, and since then, I’ve tested a fair share of them. My favorite one: the #132 Powder Flat Kabuki brush. A flat, yet rounded, Kabuki brush constructed to cover large portions of your face (i.e. forehead, cheeks, chin). It’s the perfect tool to apply translucent powders to set your skin with or contour with!
FOR THOSE: Who are looking for new tools to add to their collection.
WHY I LOVE IT: The holographic and iridescent trend can be seen everywhere: From nails and makeup brushes, to backpacks and shoes, the print has certainly taken over both the beauty and fashion worlds, and it’s not hard to understand why: Because it looks fucking awesome! This is exactly why my eye gravitated to this Rainbow Gold Curling Iron by Hot Tools (so many throwbacks), a 1 1/4″ curling iron that looks just as cool as the hair styles it can deliver.
FOR THOSE: Who want the ultimate #TBT, post a photo of this curling iron on your Instagram!
